Description:
 Petroglyphs(also called rock engravings) are images created by removing part of a rock surface by picking, carving, and scraping it. Beginning with a brief PowerPoint presentation, participants will learn about prehistoric cave carving and painting and view some examples. Using a soft lime stone surface as a canvas, participants will use a variety of tools to carve their own petroglyphs and use a variety of pigments to decorate them. All supplies provided. Ages 8-adult.
