Suggested for ages 5 & older. Registration requested. Learn about local & tropical bats. Via interactive dialogue & amazing slides, move beyond old stereotypes of bats to understand their vital importance in the balance of nature. Learn how bats control insect populations, how they pollinate night blooming flowers, how they disperse seeds essential for our rain forests. Learn about vampire bats, migration & hibernation, and echolocation. See vivid photos of our Big Brown Bat, the Silver Haired Bat & the Desert Red Bat. Listen to bat calls that are made audible with a bat detector. Eyes light up at the sight of such phenomenal creatures as Townsend’s Big Eared Bat, or the Pallid Bat.
