Catching Fire
Author
Suzanne Collins
Review
This book is so amazing and so action packed. The only problem is you need to read the Hunger Games first. It isn't as good as Catching Fire but it explains everything and is still interesting. Catching Fire is the best and most action packed novel written by Suzanne Collins.  Find it in the catalog!

Graduation Day
Author
Joelle Charbonneau
Review
Personally, this was a great ending to The Testing series. The main character, Cia ends up having to do something really shocking, and completely against her beliefs. As for the book itself, it was very suspenseful and full of plot twists. The ending was definitely satisfying. Overall, a fantastic read for the summer, but make sure to read The Testing and Graduation Day first!  Find it in the catalog!

The Fault in Our Stars
Author
John Green
Review
John Green has done it again! This wonderfully empowering book tells the story of two cancer patients, with the only thing keeping them satisfied is their love for one another. This novel really grabs hold of the emotions is the reader, and makes the reader contemplate their own life and the many things we all take for granted each and every day. A tragic, but empowering read will leave you speechless and wanting more.  Find it in the catalog!

Shadow and Bone
Author
Leigh Bardugo
Review
Alina is a young orphan that originally resides in the army as a scrawny, weak, and relatively untalented mapmaker. On her first trip through the dangerous Fold, she is attacked by the monsters that live there and an untapped power is released from within herself to saved her loved ones from the monsters evil clutches. (The most important one she wants to save being love interest Mal, her childhood friend that's a bit of a player).
After this incident occurs, she is taken to join the Grisha as the Sun Summoner, this is what the story is mostly featured around, how she changes and becomes accustomed to the new palace life, along with her actual being able to hone her abilities without relying on others too much.
With a somewhat predictable plot line and fairly decent character development this story is unique in its own right.
I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a good and relatively quick read (although its 356 pages, it reads quick,) especially if one is interested in the fantasy/action genres.  Find it in the catalog!
