This book has the perfect combination of everyday struggling life and fantasy. In the middle an incredible amount of suspense builds up to the end, which quite frankly could have been better.

The Scorch Trials is the second book in the Maze Runner series and the first book is much better than this. That being said, this book is still excellent. It has all the components of a great book; pacing, characterization, story, etc. However, it is missing all the mystery and suspense from the first book. I would still recommend it to everyone who wants to read a good dystopian novel.
