This book was enthralling. It is a great sequel to Red Queen and fully satisfying. There are places where Aveyard put in too many descriptions, but the plot had me under a spell. I couldn't put down the book. Mare faces many inner conflicts in this book along with outer ones as well. This book is just the right combination of romance and action.   Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

This book is really good. I was inspired to read it due to the Hunger Games movie. It was an entertaining yet terrifying story. It teaches a lot about survival, friendship, and alliances. Definetly 5 stars for this one!  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

What to say about this one?

Very romance heavy, so much to a point I was rolling my eyes. It felt at some points that it was a romance and only had the fantastical elements to try and hide that. But the plot kept me intrigued.

Mara's character didn't really develop much at all. Neither did Noah. It kind of dragged because of that. Constantly they were professing their undying love for each other, and how they wanted to be together, but wait, Jude is alive. Seriously, no one thinks like that.

I mostly kept reading because I had to know what was going on. I really did enjoy reading the conspiracies Mara came up with, and learning more about what caused her and Noah to be the way they are. If only there wasn't so much unrealistic romance!

I ended up enjoying it enough to want to continue, but am wary. Especially since most have bashed the concluding novel in the trilogy.  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

Wow.

This book is not at all what it seems, and yet it is. Winger is a coming of age novel, but not at all in the lightest sense. It starts out with our main character, Ryan Dean, who has been placed in O-Hall with the "delinquents" of his boarding school, Pine Mountain. From there he gets into tons of trouble, and inevitably grows up by the end of the novel. How he gets there is a much more devastatingly hilarious read.

The first few pages I was hooked. Then i felt it drag because the entire novel is so detailed, and describes immensely what is happening, and for that I'm kind of glad. You truly get to see what Ryan Dean faces and its honestly so relatable.

Of course, being a girl I cant attest to what goes on in the mind of guys, but as a high school student I can relate.

Now don't think that the book ends in the way it begins. Because it truly doesn't. Having just finished it my emotions are raw, and i dont want to spoil anything, but brace yourself. Winger was a ride, and I'm not just ready to continue with Stand-Off, I need a moment.  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

I really REALLY liked this one. Lara Jean and definitely a romantically character, so I was hesitant to pick this one up. But I'm very glad I did.

At multiple times during this book I found myself giggling and just super happy. U was always hoping she'd end up in a happy relationship, but it wouldn't be a trilogy for that to happen. So in that way it was predictable.

Though for an airy and addictive read I would highly recommend this book. Its maybe even worth a reread in the future. I'm now mostly excited to read the second book and watch the movie when its available.  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

This book is frustrating. Both the story and the delivery were frustrating. Although the narration was supposed to mimic an in the moment account, it just annoyed me more than anything else. The parenthetical insertions after every sentence and the random tangents made it really hard to connect or follow the story. I guess this may be a personal preference but I also found the story itself to drag on and on and the ending to be abrupt.
