The One and Only Ivan is definitely one of the most amazing and unique books I have ever read. It is very different from most books I have read and when I read it, I felt as if I was Ivan myself. Ivan is the main character of the story and he Is a gorilla. The story is in first person and begins by Ivan explaining where he is and what things are like around him. Eventually, as you read on, things start to change and his history is revealed. The story is very interesting and I recommend this book. The story is written by Katherine Applegate, and the book won the 2013 Newbery Medal. The book was released January 17, 2012. The story was based of a real gorilla named Ivan who lived for 27 years in a shopping mall in Tacoma, Wash, and was finally released to Atlanta Zoo. The story has it’s sad moments and happy moments, and has no lack of characters. I think this story is good for animal lovers and for people who enjoy children’s books. The book has a unique style of writing, where it uses quick short paragraphs to write, like a single thought in Ivan’s mind. An example would be “Sometimes I press my nose against the glass. My nose print, like your fingerprint, is the first and last and only one.” The whole book is written in this style, which I find very interesting. The book is very enjoyable and I hope you read it for yourself and enjoy The One and Only Ivan.   Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

The Sword of Summer is one of the most amazing and well-made books I have ever read. And I fully recommend this book to you, with many reasons to why it is worth your time. The author of this book is Rick Riordan, and is famously known for the Percy Jackson series. The book takes place in first person from the main character, and is heavily based of off Norse mythology with accurate information and nothing about the mythology changed. The story starts of very silly with some jokes, and introduces the main character, Magnus Chase. The first few chapters introduce you to how his life style changed and will tell how he died and ended up where he is. The story has lots of details and is very enjoyable, with a complicated but understandable plot. The book is the first of a three-book series about Magnus Chase, and it is one of my favorite books and series. It was released on October 6, 2015. It made me feel as if I was Magnus himself and you might feel that way to. I think that this book would be best around fans of mythology, adventure, and fictional books, as well as people who enjoy series. The book keeps everything that’s big serious, while adding different jokes to make you laugh. I honestly believe this is an amazing book and I 100% recommend this book to everyone. I hope you enjoy The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan and I hope you enjoy the whole series if you continue reading.   Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

In this book two sisters Claudia and Janine were two completely different people, one loved art and the other loved studies. They did not go along at all and would always fight. One day their grandmother heard them fighting and had a stroke and was paralyzed. Both sisters tried to help their grandma Mimi. Both sisters at the end realized that they should be nice to each other and share secrets. Seeing both sisters together, Mimi started feeling better. This book is really good because it shows no mater how much you and your sibling fight, but you still have that love for eachother.  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog
