Inside the World of Ghost Hunting: Help for the Haunted

Join the Paranormal Consulting & Investigations of New Jersey  as they welcome you into their world, where the dead are living, the living are haunted, and things really DO go bump in the night. Learn what a real team of New Jersey ghost hunters do, not only to investigate hauntings but to help resolve the many types of paranormal issues people experience.

You'll also get the inside story of the very haunted Gladstone Tavern, including  ghost stories, the history of the location, and what was found during the investigation that backs up many of  paranormal experiences. You'll hear real EVPs - Electronic Voice Phenomena (spirit voices) - from that investigation and from others throughout the state of New Jersey.

Paranormal Consulting & Investigations of New Jersey was founded in 2011 by experienced investigators with a common vision of helping clients who may be experiencing the paranormal. Founder Joanne Emmons is the author of I Think My House is Haunted!, a guidebook for those living with the paranormal, and is experienced in both Investigations and Case Management.

In-depth cover story of the start of the Comedy Store and its rivalry with the Improv and its own comedians. Interesting look at how comedians like Leno and Letterman helped unionize comics. If you're a fan of comedy, this book is a bit thin. Improv Nation by Sam Wasson is a much better choice.  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

Each story carries tremendous weight in this anthology. Reflective of today's society, and includes political stories. Read "Cougar" by Maria Anderson.  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

Oh, this book started so strong. The novel focuses on a young high school girl, Marianne, who is very vulnerable and an outcast, who is willing to accept any bit of attention from the super popular high school boy, Connell. Then the author sort of lost my interest. Basically, their roles are switched as they age - with Connell eventually feeling like the loser, outcast.

The book examines their relationship thru college (of course, they attend the same university). Marianne begins to devolve and ends up in some damaging relationships. Meh, it keeps going and going, very slowly and very quietly.

I finished it a few days ago and I already can't remember the ending.  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

I enjoyed this historical romance quite a bit. The hero, Oliver Hawkes is deaf which I found to be unusual in an historical romance, although maybe I do not read enough historical romances to really know for sure. The heroine, Lady Christina is a bit quiet and timid but I still enjoyed the chemistry between the 2 leads. I would read another title by this author. I was going to donate my copy of this title to my local library but I have seen that the library owns the series. I may try to read the rest of the titles in this series.  Woodbridge Public Library Catalog

This was my very first ever cozy mystery, I kept hearing the term, but didn't understand what it meant until now. As far as I can tell, there's a crime or mystery to solve in a confined area (like a town, village, or some kind sort of defined space). The heroine is smart and any love story is pretty PG, also the murders or violence that occur don't appear to be very graphic.

This book was part Great British Bake Off and part Bewitched. The constant baking and recipes had me wanting to eat or bake (or bake then eat) and the magic was all very wholesome, no "double double toil, and trouble" here! I think it really got good once Imogen arrived at the Water Kingdom, everything before that was kind of just set up for the rest of the story and that's fine. I feel like this book laid the foundation for this series to have some longevity through a few open questions and through relationships between the characters

I thought the narrator had a great voice for this kind of cute, kind, and quirky character. I could so clearly picture Imogen in my head. My only complaint is that it is read so FAST. I had to check to make sure that I didn't accidentally have the speed turned up. This may just be a byproduct of the "cozy" style, it seems like they are meant to be very fast paced, with the action happening quickly, and no need to wait for twists, turns, or slow burns. It may be that cozies are not meant to take a breath from start to finish, but I don't have enough experience to say.

Overall, it was was delightful!
